Richard A Carroll, Ph.D.

I am a licensed psychologist with a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. I have specialized in the treatment of sexual problems and couple therapy for over 30 years. I served as Director of the Sexual Disorders and Couple Therapy Program of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern Medicine for most of this time. In addition to my clinical practice, I am an Emeritus Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Fienberg School of Medicine, where I continue to teach and train in the areas of sexual disorders and couple therapy. I am also a Past President of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research. I am an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the Society for Sex Therapy and Research.
